And having nature as a backdrop provides lots of incentive for designing. As you will see, many of Carol's designs have flowers, birds and other inspirations from nature as well as her apparent fondness for vintage designs.

While quilting and embroidery are the focus of her business, Carol is also a registered nurse who keeps busy as the mother of three and grandmother of six with a husband, three dogs and a cat to help keep her active. Chick-a-dee Hollow employs four part-time employees who have been with her since her days as a quilt shop owner. Although they are serious about business, Carol and her staff are fun oriented and pretty laid back.
